El Banquito Dos in Puerto Vallarta

Tino Perez from taqueria El Banquito has made the move to the bigger space next door to his closet of a

taqueria, where he sells 4 tacos Dorados de birria, for 45 pesos, like $2.25 US. He has expanded the menu, and I have pictures of his new place, right next door to the old place at 189, on Libertad 187.

El Banquito Dos

It’s quiet in Vallarta this time of year. Remember you can always do the baby Turtle Release in Boca de Tomates, Like the Facebook page at Saving Sea Turtles in Puerto Vallarta Campamento Tortuguero Boca de Tomates. Bring your insect repellant and pesos to help them out.

Botanical Garden Update

Neil Gerlowski Vallarta Botanical Garden

A visit to the Vallarta Botanical Garden is always a good place to visit. Things are really green and growing this time of year, in fact any time of year is great for the Botanical Garden. And they have an office now right in town, on Basillio Badillo and Ignacio Vallarta, in the Romantic Zone. So, I thought I

would stop in the office and see our friend Neil Gerlowski to find out what was happening at the Garden. It’s been quite a long time since we visited there, so Let’s go there right now Ignacio L. Vallarta 399, and let’s have a talk with the man himself, Neil Gerlowski from the Vallarta Botanical Garden.

Teach English Online To Earn Money in Puerto Vallarta with The Grateful Gypsies

Rachel and Sasha

Our next interview will be very interesting to many of you. If you have been paying attention, listening to my podcasts, then you would know that if you aren’t Mexican, and you don’t own a business, you can’t

The Grateful Gypsies

work legally in Mexico without some type of permission, permit, waiver, you get the picture. But there are plenty of people living in Vallarta right now, who work remotely, with internet businesses, tech support, work from home deals that they set up and so on.

Rachel at Work

A while back we spoke with Chase Buckner at Vallarta Co-Work, and we talked about digital nomads. These are people who have no roots, they travel around the world, and they bring their work with them.

Grateful Gypsies

All they need is a good strong internet connection and voila, they can make a living from wherever in the world they are. So wouldn’t it be wonderful if you could, if you wanted to of course, live in Puerto Vallarta, or anywhere in the world you wanted, with good internet of course, and live to dream of working wherever you damn pleased? Sure you would.

So many of you would like to know how you can make the break from the rat race, and become digital nomads.

So how do you do it? How does it pay? Can you survive on that salary and continue to live the life you want? What if you are retired, making a pension but want to supplement that to live a better life in paradise, on the beach?

Well, these two guests Rachel and Sasha will tell you how they do it, and how you can do it too.

In May when I was recording interviews in town I made it a point to drop in on a Digital Nomad meetup organized by a Vallarta Digital Nomads group on Facebook.

When I got there, I immediately noticed I was the oldest guy there. Lots of young kids. Okay, young adults from all over the world. All with very interesting things to say, and do in paradise. And of these nomads,

there was a couple, who said they helped others learn to nomad life by teaching English, online to Chinese Students. So I asked if they would come to my meet and greet at Kelly’s Pour Favor so I could interview them, and they agreed.

So, let’s go right now to Lazaro Cardenas 245 in the Zona Romantica, on the roof of Kelly’s Pour Favor Saloon and Cookhouse, and let’s meet the Grateful Gypsies, Yes, that’s the name of their website, The Grateful Gypsies Rachel and Sasha,  who will tell you how to Improvise your live, and become a digital nomad.

Listen to The Podcast

Okay, how interesting and what a lot of great information right?

I have links to the Grateful Gypsies website where they have great information besides the classes they provide. But wow, I’m dusting off my credentials right now. How cool it would be to make to move to paradise and teach the Chinese how to take over the world. Oh…wait a minute. Never mind.

Check out the pics and the links and let me know what you think.

Welcome to the Grateful Gypsies!

Okay that should do it for this week.

Next week, stay tuned for more on the ground reports from Puerto Vallarta Mexico, with travel tips, great restaurant and excursion ideas and more.  Until then, remember, this is an interactive show where I depend on your questions and suggestions about all things Puerto Vallarta. If you think of something I should be talking about, please reach out to me by clicking on the Contact us tab and sending us your message.

And remember, if you are considering booking any type of tour while you are in Puerto Vallarta, you must go to Vallartainfo.com, JR’s website and reserve your tour through him, right from his website. Remember the value for value proposition. His experience and on the ground knowledge of everything Puerto Vallarta in exchange for your making a purchase of a tour that you would do anyway, you’re just doing it through him as a way of saying thank you. It costs no more than if you were to use someone else so do it. Really. And when you do take one of these tours, email me about your experiences. Maybe you can come on-board and share with others what you liked or didn’t like about the tour. Again, contact me by clicking on the Contact us tab and sending off a message. Don’t forget his maps, his DIY tours and his revitalized Happy Hour Board. I have links to all of those in the show notes.

And once again, if you like this podcast, please take the time and subscribe and give me a good review on iTunes if you would. That way we can get the word out to more and more people about the magic of this place. Puerto Vallarta, Mexico. Remember I made it easy for you to do just that with each episode I create. But if you haven’t been to my website, you really need to have a look there.  I have the links to the places we talk about, interesting pictures and the more all right there in my blog-posts and show-notes for each episode of the show so check them out for sure if you haven’t already all-right? All right.

Thanks to Neil Gerlowski from the Vallarta Botanical Garden, make sure you visit the garden when you come to Vallarta, maybe even take their special tour and be pampered right?

And thanks so much to Sasha and Rachel for talking with us, and spreading the good news of how you can become a grateful gypsies and a digital nomad and ditch the rat race for a job in paradise, wherever paradise is for you that is. Like Puerto Vallarta, right?

And thanks to all of you for listening all the way through this episode of the Puerto Vallarta Travel Show. This is Barry Kessler signing off with a wish for you all to slow down, be kind and live the Vallarta lifestyle. Nos Vemos amigos!
