We have news both local and national so let\u2019s get to it let\u2019s see what\u2019s happening in Puerto Vallarta and around Mexico this week, the 2<sup>nd<\/sup> of April, 2022.<\/p>\n<h3>Time Change Tomorrow in Most of Mexico<\/h3>\n<p>Tomorrow morning at 2 it\u2019s time to spring forward an hour in most of Mexico. For a little historical background regarding Mexico and Daylight savings, it wasn\u2019t until 1996 that most of Mexico adopted the change to daylight savings time. The reasons had to do with economics of course. Interestingly enough states that border the US change their clocks with the US on their schedule, while some Mexican states ignore the time change all together. The state of Sonora, the State of Quintana Roo, and the Island territories of The Islas Mar\u00edas (&#8220;Mary Islands&#8221;) are an archipelago of four islands that are located in the Pacific, about 100 km (62 mi) off the coast of the state of Nayarit and about 370 km (230 mi) southeast of the tip of Baja California. They are part of the municipality of San Blas, Nayarit, and \u00a0the Revillagigedo Islands or Revillagigedo Archipelago, a group of four volcanic islands in the Pacific Ocean, known for their unique ecosystem. They lie approximately 285 miles from Socorro Island south and southwest of Cabo San Lucas, the southern tip of the Baja California Peninsula. Both are Penal colonies\u2026.don\u2019t get excited\u2026 Prisons\u2026Okay? Actually, if you have been listening to the show you know that the Islas Marias closed the penal colony to make room for a Vidanta Resort. Dicks&#8230;<\/p>\n<p>We\u2019ll see what happens next year because all bets are off now that the US has adopted daylight savings full time. Okay enough\u2026Set your clocks in Mexico tomorrow Sunday the 3rd.<\/p>\n<h3>Police Clear Protester From The Kiosk in Plaza de Armas Puerto Vallarta<\/h3>\n<p>Over the last three weeks, the Kiosk in the center of The Plaza de Armas across from City Hall has been taken over by a protester who was just removed from the Kiosk.
